Comment: This unit has fragmented stands of acid grass grading into heath (U4) amongst areas of scrub on the south and north facing steep slopes with a flat area of species-poor grass at along the top of the ridge. All assessment criteria passed bar sward height indicator which has probably been impacted by the very wet weather of spring/summer. Wood Sage, Sheep's Sorrel and Heath Bedstraw frequent with Tormentil and Cladonia spp occasional. High levels of bracken cover on the south-facing slope and scrub could be further pushed back.
