Comment: Overall Unit fail. Blanket bog(overall fail) -Peat depth 1m+ one sample 55cm and one 93 cm. 17 samples assessed. Fails on Drainage, % indicator spp cover, proportion of heather shoots browsed (all ages) and borderline fail on indicator spp. present. Wet Heath fail. Peat depth 5cm ?1m range, average 42cm, 13 samples <50cm.Pass on Erica Tetralix present within 20m of quadrat, % juncus effusus, % bracken cover, cover of non native spp., cover of trees & shrubs, evidence of burning & % cover Ag cap, Holcus etc. Significant fail on % cover ericoids, graminoids & damaged sphagna.
