Comment: This is sheep-grazed pasture with naturally undulating topography giving rise to ephemeral wet areas with scattered clumps of rushes. The area is mostly of importance however for its ditches. These have varied structure and vegetation as some are recently managed and others are dominated by common reed. Characteristic plants present include lesser bulrush, marsh mallow, narrow-leaved water dropwort, hemlock water dropwort, burr reed, and reed sweet-grass. The floating and submerged aquatic vegetation varies and includes pond weed, water mint and arrowhead. The margins are largely open to grazing stock which helps to maintain short margins with high plant diversity. No negative indicators were noted.
