Comment: No loss of extent noted. Water level is below target in all ditches surveyed (dry period would be worth reassessing unit in wetter months to assess suitabelity for passage and wintering birds),No Algal dominance noted.All of the ditches are in an early successional stage. Mean species diversity of 3.75 for this unit , which is below minimum target of 5 for brackish ditches Crassula blanketing close to 90% of the ditches in this unit which is likley to be affecteing species diversity. Seaclub rush (Scirpus maritimus is among the notable species recorded.
