Comment: This is an area of sheep-grazed pasture primarily of importance for its ditch system. These have a variety of depths and vegetation types. Some are broad and deep and subject to regular management by the Internal Drainage Board. Other are less frequently managed and have a range of emergent vegetation types characterised by common reed. The margins are generally open to grazing stock so that the margins are kept short and species-rich. Of particular interest is the presence of the uncommon plant marsh mallow along the banks. No negative indicators were noted.
