Comment: This is an area with a wide intertidal zone of mud and sand with a shingle foreshore. There are the remains of old wooden groynes but these are no longer hindering natural coastal processes. There are no indications of adverse impacts on the coastal geomorphology. The shingle ridge is sparsely vegetated but supports characteristic plants including sea kale, sea beet and yellow horned poppy. A variety of waders were noted feeding including lapwing, curlew and oystercatchers.
Number of adverse condition reasons: 0
