Comment: This area is largely unvegetated shingle with the natural shingle ridge topography intact. A range of characteristic shingle vegetation types is present. In areas where vegetation is colonising it tends to be dominated by red fescue with prostrate broom, sea campion, and wood sage. There are also sparsely vegetated areas with short mats of bryophytes, lichens, thrift and sheep's sorrel. Scrub cover is less than 5% and the vegetation is in good condition.
Number of adverse condition reasons: 0
