Comment: This is an area of largely unvegetated shingle with the natural shingle ridge topography intact. The characteristic range of vegetation types is present. In areas where vegetation is colonising it tends to be dominated by false oat-grass with sea campion, vipers bugloss and occasional ragwort. There are also sparsely vegetated areas with mats of bryophytes, lichens, thrift, wood sage and sheep's sorrel. Scrub cover, consisting mainly of low-growing blackthorn, is less than 5% across the unit.
Number of adverse condition reasons: 0
