Comment: This is a series of damp hollows of varying sizes with brackish influence in the shingle behind the coastal shingle ridge. The features are largely intact although they are affected to varying degrees by natural coastal processes and movement of shingle landwards. The hollows have a characteristic brackish marsh vegetation type with reed generally dominant and sea rush, sea club-rush and sea beet. The uncommon plant shrubby sea-blite is present in places.
