Comment: CG3 Bromopsis erecta grassland with shortish sward and abundant sheep's fescue - more characteristic of CG2 - due to heavy rabbit grazing over most of the slope. Average sward height the only unfavourable attribute (non-mandatory) of CG3. Perfect conditions for Silver-spotted Skipper which were noted in good numbers, including ovipositing behaviour, although the invertebrate habitat condition assessment revealed ungrazed flowers present on only c5% of the total area. A reduction in rabbit pressure would benefit the sward structure and invertebrate diversity, and ensure that plant diversity does not decline. Some scrub reduction management has taken place with small patches still remaining (less than 5% overall).
