Comment: Unit now owned and managed by SWT and part of new HLS application. Renamed `Fraser Down? as more appropriate. Has suffered from years of neglect and has large areas of scrub (up to 50%) now subject to scrub management plan which has begun with clearance of access into site, with grazing planned to commence next year. Areas of species rich sward remain with frequent birds-foot trefoil, occasional black knapweed, cowslips, hairy violet, salad burnet, oxeye daisy and autumn hawkbit. Also present but rare are gentian, fairy flax and autumn lady?s-tresses. Torgrass cover is <10% and no other negative indicators (docks and nettles <5%. Parts rabbit grazed with ant hills and many empty roman snail shells.
