Comment: Ash dominated with notable mature beech and Yew occasionally oak also field maple, white beam and yew, with occasional horse chestnut and sycamore of >5%. Variable amounts of shrub layer from sparse hawthorn and dogwood under the more mature canopy to areas dominated by scrub and regenerating canopy trees. Ground flora similarly distributed with dogs mercury dominant beneath mature canopy and areas of bramble and mixed grass communities including a grazed area of remnant chalk grassland. Generally non intervention with natural processes ongoing and plenty of fallen and standing deadwood.
