Comment: Area of mixed woodland with notable mature beech and yew with occasional oak and sallow. Other canopy trees include birch, rowan and holly with scattered conifers, horse chestnut, sweet chestnut, some as coppice, and sycamore (< 5%). Shrub layer includes hazel , hawthorn and occasional box. Good regeneration of natives within glades arising from windfall of mature individuals. Ground flora in places dominated by bracken and bramble also areas of bare ground and more open areas or ride sides with dogs mercury, bugle, sanicle and a variety of ferns. Plenty of fallen and standing deadwood little sign of management and no negative indicators.
