Comment: Area of mainly Yew, Ash and Beech dominated non intervention woodland includes some scattered mature Oak. Scrub/shrub layer includes Hazel, Holly, Hawthorn, Field maple Privet and Viburnham spp. Some Sycamore and Sweet Chestnut scattered about but some control has been carried out and management of secondary woodland generally controlling spread of Sycamore. No rides as such but area is long and thin so plenty of edge habitat. Management is to benefit pheasant shoot and this tends towards creating sheltered glades and areas of short ground flora. Overall this contributes towards the varied structure of the woodland as a whole, there is plenty of fallen and standing deadwood.
