Comment: The HLS agreement set up in 2012 is intended to remedy the reasons for unfavourable condition, (identified in the assessment of 2010), below:- This unit consists of dry heathland, the majority of the heathland is invaded by bramble with an over dominance of western gorse. The birch and oak woodland along the western edge is spreading into the heath and needs to be cut back. There is a large area of single species bracken stand which requires treatment. There is insufficient pioneer heathland and bare sand for sand lizards.
Number of adverse condition reasons: 0
