Comment: This unit is a wide band of saltmarsh which is grazed by cattle, the livestock venturing across the greater part of the saltmarsh. The vegetation is characterised by low-mid marsh with a narrow pioneer band at the seward edge. Typical species include sea purselane and sea meadow grass (either or both often forming the greater part of the sward) together with sea aster, sea lavender and greater sea spurrey. The saltmarsh meets the targets for the number of characteristic species and there are no signs of man-made interference that would affect its development.
Number of adverse condition reasons: 0
