Within easy walking/cycling distance of Norwich city centre.
Car: From the city centre, follow the inner ring road to the Kett's Hill/Plumstead Road exit. After about 600m turn right into Wellesley Avenue North and go straight on to the end and the wood is on the right.
Please park with consideration for the residents.
Bus services 11, 13, 19 and 20 from the city centre serve Plumstead Road, alight here and walk to the wood along Wellesley Avenue.

What to see: Mainly Oak-Sycamore woodland with some very large trees. About a third of the wood is thought to be ancient.
Sweet Chestnut, beech, hornbeam, wild cherry, silver birch and holly. Good for bluebells. A range of woodland birds including jay, blackcap, greater-spotted and green woodpeckers and sparrowhawk.
