What to see: The site is on the lower slopes of Ambarrow Hill which is the National Trust site to the north. Originally it was part of a Victorian country estate. Habitats include ancient woodland, birch and hazel coppice, marsh, ponds and pools and a meadow. Notable plants include bluebells and spring woodland flowers, cuckoo flower and yellow rattle. Important animals include stag beetle, noctule bat and glow worm (all on Bracknell Forest Biodiversity Action Plan).
